• Join Hands Ministry Christmas Program

    The Join Hands Ministry Christmas Program ensures that children from struggling families experience joy, care, and a sense of community during the holiday season. We know reaching out for help is not always easy. Together with our network of sponsors, it is our hope that you and your family know you are loved and cared about. Because we love you, we pray that the coming new year will bring prosperity, positivity, and better days ahead.

  •  Application Requirements

    • VALID photo ID, such as your driver's license or state ID card is required to be uploaded in the application. This must show a Perry County, PA address. If it does not, please include your address update yellow card with the photo ID.
    • You may apply only for:
      • Your own children - in cases of divorce or biological parents living separately, only one parent can be accepted into this program. This may be determined by first application received or custody paperwork if necessary.
      • Children not biologically yours whom you have legal custody or guardianship of (legal paperwork required)

     

    To Be Eligible, Children Must

    • Live with applicant in a Perry County, PA residence. 
    • Ages accepted:
      • Newborn - born prior to October 29, 2026
      • Through 14 years old on December 25

  • APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE OCTOBER 29, 2026 by 1:00 pm!

    No applications, resubmissions, or paperwork will be accepted after that date.

                                           

  • What to expect? 

    • Once you have submitted the application you will receive an email saying it was recieved
    • If you did not get an email after applying saying it was recieved, Join Hands Ministry did not get your application 
    • If your application is denied, you will receive an email (Check your Spam/Junk folder and mark JHM email “Not Spam.” Add JHM email to your contacts.)
    • If your application is approved, you will receive an email. (Check your Spam/Junk folder and mark JHM email “Not Spam.” Add JHM email to your contacts.) You will then be contacted in mid-November/early December to pick up your gifts
    • If you are unsure of the status of your application, you can call our office at 717-582-7844. Please allow up to 7 days for a response
    • Join Hands Ministry does not have the capacity to hold gifts; so please be prepared to pick them up within the designated time provided

  • If you live in the Shermans Dale area, would you be willing to pick up your gifts at Young’s Church if selected? Space is limited, and gift pickup will be on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Young’s Church intersection of Young’s Church Road and 101 Old State Road, Shermans Dale. A Young’s Church representative will contact you if your family is selected.

    What you need to know for gift ideas

    • Join Hands Ministry will not guarantee you receive all the gift ideas you list
    • Gift ideas that exceed $50 will be removed before given to the sponsor
    • Only one gift card option per child will be approved
    • If you list clothing as a gift idea, you must list U.S. sizes; if not, clothing will be removed from the list

    Gift ideas NOT accepted:

    • Bikes
    • Scooters
    • Glass items
    • Food/candy
    • Items over $50 value
  • If any of your children would like a baby doll or Barbie type doll for Christmas, do you have a preferred ethnicity for the doll?

  • If you are accepted into our Christmas program, you will need to come to our office in New Bloomfield, or to a local church depending on your sponsor, to pick up your child/ren's Christmas presents. Do you have transportation?*

  • Thanks for letting us know!  We will try our best to match you with a church or group close to your area, or may be able to arrange a drop off.  We will contact you once we have a sponsor for your child/ren and give you more information.

  • Some sponsors like to deliver the gifts directly. This would require Join Hands Ministry to give your information, such as name, address, phone number, and email, to the sponsor. Agreeing does NOT guarantee a match with a sponsor who delivers, but if there is a match, the sponsor will contact you to schedule the delivery.*
